Extract

Pollution means an undesirable state of the natural environment which has been contaminated with harmful substances as a consequence of human activities. Pollution can be anything which damages the ecosystem and destroys the delicate balance in the ecosystem. Moreover, it creates health hazards to human beings and animals besides. For example, industries polluting air have created an imbalance in composition of the air and make it unworthy to breathe - thereby causing innumerable health problems to human and animal life.
